Below is a list of conditions that must be communicated and accepted by tenants at the time of booking.
The rented accommodation includes the gîte, inventory, private garden, and swimming pool.
Terms of Use
Gîte:
- The rental period begins at 4:00 PM on the day of arrival and ends at 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Exceptions are possible upon consultation.
- Children are very welcome.
- The acceptance of small pets will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may incur an additional charge.
- There is a private parking space in front of the gîte.
- Cleaning costs (€50) are included in the rental price. However, tenants are required to leave the gîte in good condition.
- The gîte is connected to a septic tank for water drainage and toilet facilities.
- Smoking is not permitted in the gîte.
- Breakage of dishes, appliances, and furniture must be reported and, in extreme cases, the tenant may be charged.
- The rental price includes water and electricity consumption. Any usage that deviates significantly from normal, due to charging a car for example, may be charged.
- The gîte accommodates 5 people, with the fifth person using the sofa bed in the living room.
Tents can be placed in the garden upon request to accommodate additional guests. An additional charge may apply. - By occupying the rented accommodation, the tenant agrees that it will be in good condition and undamaged. If the tenant finds anything amiss, they must report this on the day of arrival.
Exterior:
- The tenant can use the barbecue and fire starter provided.
- Fire pits are not permitted during the summer months due to the fire risk.
- Please be aware of damage from rain or thunderstorms: cushions, etc., must be stored indoors in the evenings in case of rain, and parasols must be folded down.
- The swimming pool is equipped with an electric cover that complies with child safety regulations.
- We will close this cover every evening.
- Tenants are responsible for the safety of themselves and their children in and around the pool.
- The pool is open from 10:00 AM. It will be inspected for cleanliness beforehand. We will close the pool around 10:00 PM or in case of very bad weather.
- During the summer months, there’s always a water shortage, so don’t take too many dives with splashes in the pool.
Payment:
- Prices may vary. The prices listed on the website www.gitelafrancaise.com apply at the time of booking. These may be higher or lower than during a previous or subsequent visit, so please refresh the page if you’ve already visited.
- During peak season, the deposit is 50% upon booking, with the balance due no later than 6 weeks before arrival.

- Reservations during low season can be cancelled free of charge up to 6 weeks before arrival. During peak season, we have a refund period of 8 weeks.
- Prices include cleaning costs, electricity, water, bed linen, duvets, pillows, and kitchen and bath towels.
Situations to avoid:
- The owner reserves the right to refuse or deny tenants access to the gîte in the event of misconduct, without refunding the rent.
- If the gîte is left earlier than planned, no refund will be given.
- The owner is not responsible for any damage and/or injury sustained by guests in the gîte or on the owner’s property during the rental period.
- The tenant is liable for any damage to the rented accommodation due to their fault or negligence, or due to the fault or negligence of those staying in the accommodation during the rental period.
- If the accommodation becomes uninhabitable or difficult to live in due to a cause beyond their control (force majeure), the owner cannot be held liable. Force majeure includes: fire, flooding, water and/or electricity outages, road diversions, falling trees, strikes, disasters, illness, odors, war, riots, subsidence, collapse, abnormal rainfall, drought, wind, and other external influences.
